1 of 3

Lake Wallenpaupack has 5,700 acres, and there are many activities for the whole family. The man-made lake is one of the largest in the state. The lake is bounded to the north by the picturesque tiny town of Hawley and several other local centers such as Tafton, Paupack, Greentown, and Lakeville, all of which have fantastic attractions, restaurants, and stores.

In summer people like swimming, water skiing, boating, and kayaking. But ice skating, snowshoeing, and ice fishing are popular winter activities. Palmyra Township Public Beach is available to the public and a great place to cool down. Lake Wallenpaupack also has six recreation zones, so if you need to get away from the lake, travel ashore to enjoy land-based activities like hiking, camping, and snowmobiling.
